Flooring Consultant

    Established in 2009, we are the premier destination for beautiful hardwood floors in East and West Sussex. We specialise in the supply and installation of high quality engineered and solid wood flooring, offering guidance and advice to our clients from our showrooms, in East Grinstead, Haywards Heath and Lewes.

    The Position

    We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Flooring Consultant to join the Antares family, across our three showrooms in East and West Sussex. As an Antares Flooring Consultant, you will advise and liaise with our clients, helping to inspire their design projects.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Exceed client expectations from a customer service and hospitality perspective, both in person, and via all other communication channels.

    • Guide clients, providing advice and information about our products and the services we provide.

    • Offer clients a one-to-one, tailor-made service, ensuring they feel welcome, comfortable and inspired throughout the course of their flooring project.

    • Develop a detailed understanding of client projects, in line with their tastes, preferences, and requirements.

    • Oversee clients’ end-to-end journeys, ensuring they experience a smooth, seamless, professional service throughout.

    • Work closely with your colleagues to convert customer enquiries into sales.

    • Help ensure our showrooms are immaculately presented, and our flooring samples impeccably displayed.

    The Person

    Desirable criteria:

    • Demonstrable experience, and/or evidence of a keen interest in interior design, home trends and styles

    • Previous customer service experience in a similar role, with an emphasis on providing an excellent customer experience

    • Experience of working to sales targets

    • Be computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS packages

    • Have good administrative skills

    • If you do not meet this criteria but feel you will be a good fit for the position we would still love to hear from you.

    • This is a full time position, working Tuesday to Saturday. You will be predominantly based at our Haywards Heath showroom. However, you will also be required to provide cover at our East Grinstead and Lewes showrooms where necessary. The ideal candidate will have their own car/regular use of a car, as you may occasionally be required to visit clients on site.

    • A DBS certificate is required for this position. We will help facilitate this if your application is successful.
